Here are a few key War Hammer rules we need to point out:Īll cut-off times will be strictly enforced for all runners. Only race staff, volunteers, and support crews will be permitted at aid stations. Unfortunately, due to parking restrictions, we cannot allow non-crew spectators anywhere else at the race including trail access locations and aid stations. Spectators are only permitted at the finish line at Sheltowee Camp. PLEASE PICK UP YOUR DROP BAGS! Spectators We will not keep or ship drop bags to runners under any circumstances. REMINDER: Per our policy, drop bags left at the race after 10:00am Sunday will be discarded. Please reference the Event Guide below for specific crew points, crew rules, pacer rules, drop bag locations, and drop bag guidelines. 50K runners may not.ġ00-mile runners & 50-mile runners may have drop bags. Overall male and female champions of the War Hammer 100 (all distances) receive FREE ENTRY into next year's race to defend your crown! CREWs, Pacers, & Drop Bagsġ00-mile runners & 50-mile runners may have crews and pacers. The top three men and women receive a special handmade award. ![]() Sub-24 hour 100-mile finishers receive a customized wooden belt buckle. We will NOT have disposable cups for runners.Īll participants receive a race shirt or hat.Īll finishers receive a handmade finisher award. No cups will be available at aid stations or the finish line for runners. Runners must carry their own cup or bottle for beverages at the aid stations. This is a safety issue due to the extreme heat and exposure you will face during the race. Failure to have this at the start of the race or at any aid station will result in disqualification. For the second half of the race runners will traverse technical creek beds, several creek crossings, and uneven trails that showcase the brutal beauty of the Bluegrass State.įinishers of the War Hammer 100 receive more than the knowledge that they’ve done something truly daunting. The race is a double out-and-back beginning and ending at Kentucky’s Sheltowee Camp - an incredible venue complete with campsites, cabins, bunkhouse, and a full bathhouse with showers!
